Bill's River Blog June 9, 2009
The fly fishing world lost a great man today. He was, and his family, were very much part of mine. He was great mentor, teacher and friend . Making myself better and teaching me most of all of what I know about this career. He was and is a huge part of my game. Because he was who he was, I am what I am. His name is Jim Repine. Maybe not know as well as some of the others, but they knew him,and he knew them. And he will be deeply missed. Well folks all things fishing in the North Country have been great. We have had wonderful times wading. There were a few people around and a TU junket sort of thing on the river. But with that said there's been tons of fish around. Some days are better than other and sometimes also. But there seems to be be so many places that are fishing well. The inlet to Francis is still hot and there are fish spread through out the river. The small ponds and the smaller streams are a wonderful temps and levels. That is a great alternative to the hustle and bustle. Our floats have been yielding fair numbers of fish and some truly superior specimens. I floated the Andro today with to gentlemen, they threw hard and although landed a fair number of fish, the size average was far greater than I have seen this year or even for a while. And the lunch wasn't bad either. I your not fishing up here, and your not fishing with us?? What are you doing? PEACE tight lines, BILL
