Good morning one and all. Here we are once again, the time to tell the time to fish some tall tails and some true to the word. Some hard to conceive as if  to recognize the size 22 trico the trout rise to in a tough light, as always it drives us forward ever seeking and enlightening. We learn some days more others the day when it seems the river is still. Those are the days for myself it seems that knowledge abounds.  YEAH!! Lets cut to the chase, reality is, if your not catching fish you have a lot of time to think.

   Well as you all may know we've had an early kick off to the season. It truly has started 3 weeks early. The ice has gone and the water temps are creeping up. We've been spoiled these past few weeks. I've been out on the water as much as possible recently and have been catching fish everyday. Just more recently this week we've have a cold hearted reminder that we live in Pittsburg N.H. the mornings have been cold starting the lakes off with a skim of ice that's usually gone by noon, and then some beautiful days high, bright, sunny, and then there's this morning. Yeah, it's snowing!!! These mornings have slowed the spring warm up slightly. Mother nature is a tough mother and certainly exercising her right to be a women. We're still having an early spring just a slight prick of reality every now and again  keep us honest. 

   The fish has still been productive, I've just found that you have to work harder. There have been some early season trollers out this past week. Once the ice clears the launch there boats and head out. The water temps have slowed up a little there at 39- 42 degrees.

   We'll keep plugging away and getting ready for the season.
