![]() Good evening Folks, We'll I just want to thank you all for another Alas the time has come to dim the lights as of the setting sun drifts lower and lower on the horizon, leaves change certainly a sign of the season as it fades like the salmon, less chrome, from passive time spent in the river . All is nature and all will return, the cycle will always revolve, if we let it and the good Lord willing. Some seems greater or lesser by our thoughts right or wrong, it IS because it is SUPPOSE to be weather we like it or not. It's hard to believe the regular season is over, there is still some fishing and guiding opportunities over on the Andro, but lets face it we all think it's done. I try to imagine, it's crazy, roughly 150 days past, it seems like we were just coming out of winter and swinging streamers for landlocks below the Magalloway bridge. I remember the first trip down the upper float where we had a Big brown eat a rainbow off our line. There was another great Brown takin on a size 16 may fly emerger, you never know whats going to happen next. Like I have said it's always an adventure. We've certainly had our days with the gigantic flood early early spring and the Hex and Alder fly hatch that had gone on for weeks, that never happens. Like after Irene ran through they shut down the water flow out of lake Francis and it opens up wading opportunities that we've never seen, Man! there's some beautiful water down through there. Lopstick hired a new guide this year, Greg, he's a great addition to our guiding staff. He's got a great work ethic and a great attitude. He was a good one for sending out and doing some exploring. We fished together on a few occasions and had some great and not so super great days but we always learned something. There was some times for myself to go out and explore. Always great fun. One thing we had noticed this year was that there seemed to be more wild and native fish kinda all over the place. Is there just more of them? Is the season as such they seem to bite more often? and in some cases we really went out looking for them and found em'. I'll still be heading to the river without a pack or fly rod but only to look , watch and observe. It'll be a good time to reflect and often to think about what I'll do differently next time. I make myself laugh it just got done and I already can't wait to get out there. We'll I guess all that's left is memories of the season past and look forward to fall steelhead and salmon trips and looking forward to the 2012 season. Honestly I'll be dreaming about it all. I'll try to stay in touch, and there's a possibility I may be at the Marlboro show, who knows? PEACE Tight Lines, BILL >;~"}}'> |
