Good evening folks, Thank you all for being so wonderful and
supportive. It’s been a somber past few days and I’m not just talking about the rain. Just a quick story about this week, earlier this week we were wet wading the small streams and putting on sun block and bug spray and then there was yesterday. The day was not looking promising, it was cold raining on and off wind was blowing and the forecast for the day not sounding much better. I was scheduled to do a drift, as I met my guest ( a long time repeat) we discussed our options for the day and even the possibility of a rain check. But as fate would have it we decided to go. The water clarity was great, water temp at 50 well we thought with the weather being the factor we’ll go and see what happens. Much to all of our delights we were into fish quickly. The shortly after that one of the gentlemen landed a beautiful 17 inch brown. We commented on how nice it was and how we thought it would be the big fish of the day which on most days it would’ve been. Well many fish and a few hours later a 22 inch brown was brought to net and after lunch another 20 inch plus was hooked and played well enough for all of us to see but unfortunately not brought to net and after that we had a few other gabs on some big articulating streamers. And if that wasn’t enough with the weather getting worse a slight lull for an hour and fish rising so they caught quite a few on dries before we were done. So I day we were going to play by ear ended quite nicely into a marathon of wind, cold, raw, miserable weather. For an awful day it was great.
I spend a lot of time on the water there all good days, just some days you catch more fish. We all know life is busy, we have to slow up a little and take a good look at whats important. We all must live, love and be more understanding and forgiving to those things which bother more often. Life is to short, fish more often.
PEACE, Tight Lines >~”}}’>
