We stayed at Lopstick(wind song cabin) July 28-aug 2. We were in the area to explore the flyfishing on the Connecticut river above ,below ,and and of course the “trophy section”. The cabin was on the shore of the first Connecticut lake ,clean very comfortable, really perfect . Lots of space for 4 weary anglers .We booked a float trip for the day with Lopstick guides Greg and Bill ….great day…..support for the more experienced anglers and extra support for their less experienced spouses !!
Could not have been a better week !!
We stayed in “windsong” the first few days of July. The cabin is VERY nice ! The staff there are all great. Although we had never spent that much money for a cabin, “you get what you pay for” and it was as nice as it gets. The ATVing in the area is awesome and it is obvious that the local club has some very dedicated members. There are some great views from the trails in the mountains and we saw plenty of wildlife. We will be returning to Lopstick this winter to snowmobile in the area. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND !!
We stayed 5 nights in the Windsong Cabin and i have to say it was the nicest place i have stayed in years. The cabin is directly on the water, CT River and the views from your front porch are beautiful! The cabin is quite large with 2 bedrooms, bath, large living area, large kitchen/dining area and a great front porch. We had a great fire in the stove, which they supply all the wood free. The cabin was spotless and the ground are beautiful. It was the most relaxing vacation ever. The only draw back is NO cell phone service, your that remote! but you can use the phone in the Inn. There isnt a lot around you in terms of night life but the cabin & water make up for it. The inn keepers were very informative and generous. If you want to just relax and enjoy the views, you must stay here. And another great thing, is that it is VERY dog friendly!!
